as Homer started to eat the Novelith they fired it at an enemy planet. it was found that with this combination the planet no longer gets destroys the planet. but the inhabitants sure wish it had.

But... are you sure Homer doesn't just digest the blast, finish eating the cannon, then have to run off to the big boy's room?

he is able to digest most of the blast before it exits but there is enough to get through to the target

and while he's in the big boys room he is stocking up for the next blast of course
