everyone who voted to pass the schip to include universal medical voted against the children that schip was supposed to help. the president did the right thing in vetoing this bill as it stands. for those of you who think that this was to help middle class families who couldn't afford insurance. 2/3rds of the kids included in the above bill are already eligible. and the states can request waivers to include more of them already.

that the we are heading for a recession tomorrow. greenspan says the likelyhood of a recession is less than 50/50. and he blames it on the houseing problem not on bush. Greenspan said he expects consumer spending to slow as the housing market slowdown "significantly" reduces the 'wealth effect' but is still not convinced that will lead the world's largest economy to contract. now we all know who will blame this all on bush.
