when ever my cat comes into the house to be feed. he wants new food. so what i have to do is dump the old food out into the bucket holding all of his food. and then get a new bowl full. well at least he thinks it is new.
as i read this forum the politics and the current events. i notice the same thing. the candidates for president promise something that has been promised since the beginning of the country. people flock to them because they think it is something new.
for instance the democrats promise raising taxes will stop the deficit. and the republicans promise lowering taxes will stop it. what neither side seems willing to do is stop the spending.
so then we come to education. in which i see only half. that is 50% for those of you who don't know what half is. and i am actually sure that it is less. of the teachers in public schools even care about the kids actually learning anything. the rest are just high priced babysitters. of course it isn't just the teachers fault. the parents are also at fault because they don't follow up at home. they dint go to school to get to know the teachers.
yet we here every year how we need to throw more money at the problem. i don't think that we are going to solve this problem with money. the state that pays the least amount of money. has the highest test scores. if i remember right that is new jersey.
the state of Utah is in a catch 22 thing in education. they pay the most money from their taxes to education somewhere around 50%. but because of the number of kids in Utah that translates to the least amount of money per child. so in order to give the teachers pay raises who do they steal the money from.
